Should we exercise? |
|
For the first 4-6 weeks of this program, exercise is not compulsary. From my own experience of prescribing thousands of low carb weight loss plans, I have found that most of my clients are able to lose between 8 to 10 kilograms without exercising and at a weight loss rate of 0.75 kg per week. In fact, one of my clients lost a whopping 18 kg without any exercising at all! |

why do you ask for measurements in cm but the graph is in inches? How much weight do people lose usually in first 2 weeks. |
|
I am sorry this is a technical problem, we will recitify that asap. For an average person (80-90kg for men and 70-80kg for women), anyway from 1-2 kg and 0.5 - 1 kg thereafter. Bigger persons may lose more. This is based on no exercise but if you exercise, you can lose more. |

what about this rebound i heard about that this carb diet can lead to less toerance of carbs and leads t weight gain...? getting nervous |

There is no evidence that suggest the validity of this claim, I can gurantee you as a low carb lifestyle weight loss coach, I have yet to come accross a client (in the 7000 I have dealt with) that exhibit such phenomenon. |

why is the chart in inches when we are asked post measurements in cm? Also why do we post height? Why are we advised not to weigh our selves? |
|
Weighing yourself is not an effective way to track your progress. The main points to note with weighing are:
1. Your weight can vary by up to 2 kilograms from morning to night.
2. Constipation can increase your weight and may occur while following a low carb lifestyle, especially if your dietary fibre intake is low.
3. One to two weeks before a woman menstrual period, weight gain can occur due to water retention, which may counteract the weight loss achieved by following a low carbohydrate lifestyle. The net result may be a lack of weight loss.
4. Medications such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) may also cause water retention and affect weight loss.
Consequently, weighing by itself is the worst way to monitor your progress, while hip and waist measurements are the best indicators (unless you are performing heavy resistance exercises on your buttock muscles). According to my experiences as a low carb weight loss coach, a one centimetre loss around your hips or waist is equivalent to approximately one kilogram worth of fat loss. So, whereas one to two weeks before a woman menstrual period she may find no loss around the hips (due to water retention), she may lose inches around the waist on a low carb eating regime

how do i measure my progress on my weight as i dont measure. i want to have a graph where i can enter my figure from when i first started at 103kg and |

You can actually plot a graph in the members area with regards to hips/waist measurement. I dont recommend weighing for reasons I mentioned in chapter 7 of my book - how to track your progress. |

How many grams of carbs per 100grams should I look for on the label to see if the bacon is OK or if I need to allow it as an extra carb count for the |
|
I recommend henderson's dry cured bacons or any kind of dry cured bacons. If you cant find dry cured bacons, any kind of bacons are also okay but avoid any honey cured bacons. Dont have to get too picky about how much carb per 100g in bacons. |

Can I have the NZ Low Carb hot cereal in the first two weeks? and also, are the recipes in the Microwave Low Carb Recipes for the first 2 weeks ,all f |
|
Hot cereal should be avoided in the first 2 weeks. It can be added after 2 weeks. If you mix the hot cereal with almond flakes, coconut, sunflower seeds and acidophilus greek yoghurt plus berries, it is yummy!! The recipes book is designed for the first 2 weeks. |
